These ten films are very important to me. These movies have motivated, inspired, educated, entertained, and motivated me. They will make you feel the same way they did for me when you first saw them and still do. Each of these films has changed my life somehow, and I hope you will feel the same after watching them. I’ll share what each movie meant for me and how it impacted my life.

“Selena,” a musical drama based on a biographical story, was released on March 21, 1997. Selena Quintanilla Perez was her Texas birth name. Selena was a Mexican American recording musician well-known in Mexico and the United States. At the age of 23, she was killed by her fan club president. This movie very touched me much. It was an education about a woman capable of changing the world through her talents. Through her music, she introduced many people to Hispanic culture. Her talent and impact were remarkable in such a short period of time. You will be inspired, educated, and entertained by this movie. She should be celebrated and made known around the globe for her greatness. Enjoy!

“Titanic,” an American disaster and romance film, was released on December 19, 1997. It is a fictionalized account of the strike of the RMS Titanic. I was initially drawn to this film for its historical relevance. It was not all about the history and significance of the titanic. It was all about love. Two people from different social classes fell in love. This was a great example of how love can be found anywhere you choose to look. This film inspired me to see how love can be powerful and how it can drive me. This film will show you how love should look, and it is UNCONDITIONAL. Enjoy the movie and enjoy!!

Boyz N The Hood

Boyz N The Hood, a drama about teen life, was released July 12, 1991. This film gives an insight into the African American ghetto experience. This is shown in two ways, but both start from single-parent households. I found this movie very relatable and educational. It also gave me an insight into the lives of minority teens in ghetto communities. Enjoy the video, and enjoy!!

Malcolm X.

Malcolm X is a biographical drama about Malcolm X. It was released on November 18, 1992. This was the first time I learned about Malcolm X. The movie provided information about Malcolm X’s early life and the civil rights movement. His impact on culture was significant and continues to be so today. This video will teach you a lot about the struggle of black Americans to be a citizen in America. Enjoy the video, and enjoy!!

Back to the Future

Back to the Future, a science-fiction comedy adventure film, was released on July 3, 1985. This movie is all laughter and fun. This film is part of a trilogy that I enjoyed. This movie poster is from 1985. This movie introduced you to the coolest car, a time-travelling DeLorean and amazing Nike sneakers. It also predicted much of what would become true. If you haven’t seen this film, it is a must-see. Enjoy!!

The Lion King

The animated musical Disney film The Lion King was released on June 15, 1994. This movie was my favourite animated movie. It was released in 1994 at ten years of age. This movie was perfect. It was well-made with comedy, great music and the perfect voices for each character. The third most popular Disney animated film, behind Frozen and Zootopia, is Lion King. This film is great to share with your family.

The child is an independent film released on July 28, 1995. This film was amazing and truly mind-blowing. The film centres on New York City’s sexually active teens. They are shown their reckless behaviour with drugs and alcohol during the height of the Aids epidemic in the mid-’90s. This film was raw and direct. Although it was a long after-school special, it was raw and uncut. This movie was a great way to learn about all people’s struggles and problems, regardless of race or location. Mixed reviews were received for this film. You should watch the film and leave your review. Enjoy!!

Rocky is a sports drama film released on December 3, 1976. His life was a source of inspiration for me. It was the story of an Italian American who had no education but was kind-hearted and achieved great riches. Rocky proves that you can achieve anything in life you want. He was the American Dream in every way. It is a sign that hard work pays off.
